Do it all in the Name of Jesus – Stephen Ministers bring distinctively Christian care to those in need. They use both words and deeds to express Christ’s care for others – listening and comforting, calling on the training they have received and employing the tools of faith. If this job description fits your personal goals for ministry, consider becoming a Stephen Minister. A training class is starting soon. For more information, please contact Deb Bergstrom, (701)678-4053 or deb@lolbaxter.org, or Lolly Kalinoski, (218)829-8207 or lollykadlec@hotmail.com. Are you wearing your Name Tag? It will be helpful for everyone to wear their nametag, so that we can familiarize ourselves with the other members of our Lord of Life family.
If you are new to our church or are a member who needs a new nametag, please mark your Connection Card. For new worshipers, your nametag(s) will be placed in an envelope in the clear plastic file boxes at the Welcome Center. Members will find their nametag(s) in their mailbox in the Narthex. If you have forgotten your mailbox number, a listing is at the west end of the mailboxes.
Emergency Exits – Please take a moment to locate where the emergency exits are. In the event of an emergency or fire alarm, please proceed quickly and calmly out the nearest emergency exit.

Green Tips from Care of Creation – A report released in May, 2019 by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) finds that human-caused climate change is a direct driver of an impending loss of 1 million species in just a few decades. Nearly 150 authors from 50 nations worked for three years to compile the report, which states that the effects of overfishing, widespread pesticide use and urban expansion point to a decline in the biodiversity that is the foundation of our economies, livelihoods, food security, health and quality of life worldwide. The world’s population has doubled since 1950, while urban areas worldwide have doubled since 1992, resulting in the altering of 75 percent of the land environment and well more than half the marine environment. URGE YOUR POLICY-MAKERS to address the biodiversity crisis that threatens our well- being.
