Spring is coming in more ways than one

As I write this, spring is in the air. The snow that blanketed our world recently left soon after.  Though we live in Minnesota and need to be prepared for the possibility of snow yet to come until quite late into the spring, we live in the hope that even if it does, it won't last long. Summer is coming!  The weather this time of the year feels like a metaphor for our COVID time as well. We have endured a year-long winter and more. It has felt like a time of hibernation for many. We are sticking close to home and staying cautious.  I realize that is not true for everyone. Some have questioned the extent to which we have taken precautions against COVID. Crow Wing Energized to host movie showing and panel on anxiety

Crow Wing Energized will be hosting a showing of Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety, followed by a panel discussion, Thursday, April 29. The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The discussion panel will feature experts on the issue of anxiety, Daniel Fischer, a counselor at Forestview Middle School, and Emily Bailey, a doctoral candidate who is currently interning at Nystrom & Associates. Save the date for Lord of Life’s Annual Meeting

Lord of Life is asking members of its congregation to save the date of Sunday, June 6th for its annual meeting. This meeting provides the congregation with a look at the work Lord of Life has done, the Church's budget and allows them to vote on issues. In late May, a packet of information about the annual meeting, such as the agenda and reports from ministries, will be made available on Lord of Life’s website lolbaxter.org.
