Abundant life is not something Jesus hands us from a distance—it is the life we receive by remaining in communion with him. God’s gifts are not measured out just enough to keep us alive; they overflow. Abram’s blessing overflows to the nations. The shepherd fills the cup until it runs over. Jesus gives life “more abundantly” than we can earn or imagine. That overflowing quality is, perhaps, the deepest biblical picture of abundance—not excess for ourselves, but grace that cannot be contained and naturally spills over into the lives of others.
May you discover the richness of our life together in Christ as you spend time in God’s Word and with God’s people this week through their stories, their faith, their struggles and their joys and may the abundant love of God overflow.
