“The Lord God took the man and put him in the
garden of Eden to till it and keep it.”
-Genesis 2:15
God loves it when we take care of our world. Keep it healthy – some do, some don’t. We all have gifts and passions. My excuse is “It’s my mother’s fault.” “But I am who I am.” God’s creation must have been amazing. Over my lifetime, the earth has gotten so polluted!
Look around – cans, paper, glass, junk cars, and old machinery are everywhere. We can’t do much, but we can do something. We can start by saving pop cans and taking metal things to recycling places. Garbage cans are full of metal that will end up in the landfill, rusting and deteriorating. So, pick up the throw-aways. They can be sold to a scrap yard and will be re-purposed. That is my motto!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO MINE/HAUL/MELT/PROCESS THE ORE? GOOD QUESTION! IT IS A LOT MORE THAN THE RECYCLING PROCESS. I DO MY PASSION AS A SCRAPPER, AND OVER THE YEARS HAVE DONATED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF SCRAP PROCEEDS TO LORD OF LIFE FOR CHURCH PROJECTS AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
Prayer: Lord, God, you gave human beings “dominion,” (caretakers) over the earth. Help us to do our part in wisely using, preserving, and passing along the gifts that you have entrusted into our lives. Amen.
