When I think about our life together as children of God, followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters in the Spirit, the word abundant always emerges. We are so richly blessed in our life together by a God who invites us into a relationship through Jesus and calls us out into the world to love our neighbors, our community and one another. It is truly in relationship to the community and others that we love God and discover the abundance of God’s love for the world. Abundant life begins not with what we accomplish but with God’s blessing. We don’t create abundant life through our own efforts; we receive it as a gift in Christ, and then that gift overflows into love.
May you discover the richness of our life together in Christ as you spend time in God’s Word and with God’s people this week through their stories, their faith, their struggles and their joys!
