The church windows are starting to fill up and we could use some more hearts! Bring your hearts in a ziplock bag to the black box outside of LOL and we will put them up in our windows. Drive on by and check it out!

Recent Council Meeting Highlights:
- Approved sending money to the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen and also to ELCA World Hunger, $3,250 in total.
- Approved repairs of the Soffit and Facia – $7,000 from the Barrett Estate account
- Approved upgrades to our building security that will include both rekeying the outside doors of the building and installing a combination lock on the Eastern Front Entrance. We did this because over 150 keys have been distributed, many are either lost or in the hands of people that we don’t know have them. By installing a combination lock, we will be able to give out the combination to people who should have access to the building(after they agree to a building use policy).
- Approved bringing Preston Owen on staff as a summer intern for 20 hours a week. Preston has been helping us with editing the video of worship services and he brings a skill set in videography that will be very useful for us at this time.
It is with great sadness to report that Susan Rioux informed our council president of her intention to resign as Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Susan writes, “It has been a true gift to be on staff the past year serving the children and families of our congregation and community. I am incredibly thankful to have spent the last year sharing God’s truths and stories with our children and helping nurture their faith. My decision to resign was not taken lightly nor was it in my plans. Although we all know God works in mysterious ways so this was in His plans. It is hard to close this chapter of my life, but I am looking forward to the new adventure God has in store for me. Children’s Ministry, our pastoral and leadership staff, and the congregation will continue to be in my prayers. Thank you for your support and prayers, and also entrusting me as I fulfilled my role as Children’s Ministry Coordinator this past year.”
