Pledge Cards – will be collected during worship on Rally Day, September 12 & 16, or they can be dropped off or mailed to the church office. Additional Pledge Cards are available at the Welcome Center.
Candlestick Dedication – The candlesticks on the altar and the Eternal Candle holder were made by Paul Jacobsen and are made from wood that came from a farm near Forest City on the Winnebago River.
Martha Circle – will meet at 7 pm on Tuesday, September 11 at Judy Tollefson’s home. For more information contact Mary Anderson at 218-330-6171.
Sarah Circle – will have their first meeting Tuesday, September 11 at 1 pm at Lord of Life. Come for fellowship and Bible Study. If you would like more information contact Bugs Schmidt at 829-3864.
Rally Day and Little Lamb Blessing – will be Wednesday, September 12, starting with supper and games at 5:15 pm and worship at 6 pm and Sunday, September 16, at 9 am and 10:30 am.
LOLLY (Lots of Living Left Yet) – will meet on Wednesday, September 19, at 11:30 am for a potluck lunch in Fellowship Hall. The program will be presented by a representative from “Fishing Has No Boundaries,” a weekend program of fun and fishing for people with disabilities. Discovering God’s Vision for Your Life – You and your Spiritual Gifts Class –This course helps individuals to grow by discovering their gifts and learning how God wants them to be used. John Wolf will be teaching the class starting Sunday, September 30 through November 18 at 10:30 am. We’ll be passing around 3-ring binders with a sample of the directory (including images) in church. If you’d like to have a professional picture taken, please let us know. New Members 101 Class – If you are looking for a church home, Lord of Life offers a New Member Orientation 101 class. This class is for those interested in membership at Lord of Life and those seeking more information on Lord of Life’s mission and ministries. This is a one-night event and attendance is required by all who wish to become members of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Here are the upcoming sessions:

Women of the ELCA – Heartland Fall Conference Gathering – Will be Thursday, October 4, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Registration begins at 8 am and Brunch will start at 9 am. Speaker will be Steve Larson from First Lutheran Church. Cost is $8.
3rd Grade Bible Class – 3rd Graders and parents, are invited to 3 weeks of class where we will dig into and discover the treasure that is God’s word! Class dates: Monday, October 8, 15, 22 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Bibles will be received on Wednesday, October 24 and Sunday, October 28 during the worship services.
SHORT COURSE: How Lutherans Interpret the Bible – You are invited to explore these Lutheran ways of interpreting the Bible through a seven session series that will be offered each week at Lord of Life on both Monday evenings and Thursday mornings beginning October 8. Based on a video series by Dr. Mark Allan Powell. Sessions will start Monday, October 8 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Thursday, October 11 from 8 am to 9 am.
