Congregational Meeting – will be held on Sunday, October 28 at 11:45 am. We will be reaffirming the budget, receiving last year’s fiscal report, making adjustments to the budget. All confirmed members in good standing are eligible to attend, participate and vote.
Bring Apples on October 28 – Layne Danielson will be doing a fun kid’s Time activity next Sunday and is need of apples from your apple trees to turn into apple juice. Please bring in any you have on or before Oct. 28. You may also bring a container to take home some freshly pressed juice.
Trunks Needed for Trunk or Treating – Join us in the Lord of Life West parking lot for Trunk or Treating on Wednesday, October 31. Decorate your trunk and have fun handing out candy to the kids. Email colleen@lolbaxter.org to reserve your parking space.
Stephen Ministry Meeting – Searching for a new ministry opportunity in our congregation? Stephen Ministry is our congregation’s one-to-one caring ministry. Lord of Life Prayer Shawl Gathering – Will be meeting on Tuesday, October 23 at 2:00 pm, at Lord of Life, for a Prayer Shawl Gathering and Blessing. Please join us as we continue this faithful ministry at Lord of Life. Prayer Shawls may be knitted or crocheted and there are patterns available, or any pattern you’d like to use. Reformation Sunday – Wear red on Wednesday, October 24 or Sunday, October 28, for Reformation Sunday worship services.
Fall Cleanup Day – Join us for our fall cleanup day Saturday, October 27, starting at 9 am. We will be cleaning up the grounds, straightening up the play area, cleaning windows and landscaping.
All Saints Sunday – will be celebrated on November 4. If you’d like someone remembered (friends and loved ones), please put their name on the back of the Connection Card.
All Saints Photo Display – In honor of All Saints Day, at the Worship Services on October 31 and November 4 you are invited to bring a photo (framed or unframed) to display as a part of our worship time. This is a time to remember those who have died during the previous year, but also to celebrate the lives and influences of all saints living or passed who have, through their daily life, shown others the Christian walk and faith. Simply bring your photo to the worship service you are attending to place with the display during the service, and bring it back home with you or label it to be picked up at a later date.
Would You Like to Open Up Your Home and be a Host Home? We’re looking for people who are willing to open their homes for guests who are involved in singing groups, ministries, etc. The people we are seeking will be serving as a concrete expression of the love of Christ through our congregation. Those who say, “Yes!” will be added to a list and will be contacted when there is a specific need. Mark your Connection Cards if you are interested.
