Stephen Ministry Training Begins – This coming week marks the beginning of 50 hours of training for three people who have committed themselves to learning the skills of caring ministry. This first week’s training concerns “The Person of the Caregiver,” and trainees will consider five foundational characteristics of a caregiver. These people are a blessing to Lord of Life, and we wish God’s blessings upon them. Keep them in your prayers.
Do You Have A Great Chili Recipe? – Join us for a Chili Cook-off on Wednesday, February 13 at 5:15. Come for a Chili cook-off; stay for worship at 6 pm. Red Cross Blood Drive – Lord of Life will have a blood drive Friday, February 22 from 12 pm-5 pm. Walk-ins are welcome or you can make an appointment at redcrossblood.org.
Men In Mission Retreat – Saturday, Feb 23rd, 8 am to 4:30 pm at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Keynote speaker on Saturday is Rev. Dr. Mark Tranvik, Professor of Religion at Augsburg University. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration information is at the Welcome Center or by emailing nelutheranmen@gmail.com. Cost is $40 for registration and meal and $30 for first time attendees and students.
Prayer Shawl Meeting – There will be a Prayer Shawl meeting on Tuesday, February 19, at 2 pm in the Commons. Please bring prayer shawls that you have finished for a blessing. The shawls can be any size and any style. If you have any questions, please call Brenda at 218-831-9725.

Tanzania Mission Trip Meeting – An Informational meeting will be on Wednesday, February 13 following the 6 pm worship service. First official planning meeting will be Wednesday, February 27 at 7 pm.
New Member Orientation 101 – If you are looking for a church home, Lord of Life offers a New Member Orientation 101 class. These classes are for those interested in membership at Lord of Life and those seeking more information on Lord of Life’s mission and ministries. New Member Orientation 101 class is a one-night event and attendance is required by all who wish to become members of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Membership 201 – is available for those seeking more information about the Lutheran church. If you have been confirmed in the Lutheran Church and will be transferring your membership from an ELCA Lutheran Congregation, it is not necessary you attend these classes; however, you are highly encouraged to do so. 3rd Annual NE MN Synod EcoFaith Summit – Saturday, March 30, 2019 Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brainerd. 9:00 am registration; 9:30 am– 3:30 pm Summit.
