New Pathways – “We’re looking for members who would be willing to join the ‘Friends of New Pathways’ group at Lord of Life. This is a critical time for them. There will be a meeting on October 3rd that we are hoping to recruit a Lord of Life member to attend where they will present the findings of a community assessment and discuss the board’s recommendations for the future of the New Pathways program in the Lakes area. New pathways is a partnership between host churches and a Lakes Area Day Center that would serve homeless families with shelter and other services to help them effectively address their needs.”

Pick up a form in the Narthex or contact Susan Rioux, susan.rioux@lolbaxter.org

They Are Among Us – No, we’re not talking about angels or aliens. We’re talking about individuals who care for others. The Scriptures describe their service well: “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering” (Hebrews 13:3). If you or someone you know wants to do more as a Christian caregiver, consider Stephen Ministry. This is Lord of Life’s one-to-one caregiving ministry. A training class is starting soon. For more information, please contact Deb Bergstrom, (701)678-4053 or deb@lolbaxter.org, or Lolly Kalinoski, (218)829-8207 or lollykadlec@hotmail.com.
