This Week’s Announcements

Daylight Savings Time – Be sure to set your clocks back Saturday night November 2nd as daylight savings time ends at 2 am. Be sure to change the batteries on your smoke detectors. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep before worship on Sunday, November 3rd.

All Saints Sunday – will be celebrated on November 3. If you’d like someone remembered (friends and loved ones), please put their name on the back of the Connection Card.

All Saints Photo Display – In honor of All Saints Day, at the Worship Services on October 30 and November 3 you are invited to bring a photo (framed or unframed) to display as a part of our worship time. This is a time to remember those who have died during the previous year, but also to celebrate the lives and influences of all saints living or passed who have, through their daily life, shown others the Christian walk and faith. Simply bring your photo to the worship service you are attending to place with the display during the service, and bring it back home with you or label it to be picked up at a later date.

Fundraising Events for Tanzania – Join us Monday, November 4th, for dinner at Pizza Ranch from 5 pm to 8 pm. Our group will receive 10% of the evening sales and tips. We appreciate your support of our Tanzania mission trip and all proceeds will go towards supplies needed for Tanzania.

Wednesday Suppers – Join us on Wednesdays at 5:15 for supper. November 6 will be a potluck; please bring a dish to pass. Regular suppers will be on November 13 & 20. There will be no supper on November 27 for Thanksgiving.

Pancake Breakfast – Join us for a pancake breakfast, Sunday, November 3, starting at 9:45 am. Free-will donations will go towards our mission trip this summer.

Are you receiving the Good News Weekly? – Every week on Friday afternoons, Lord of Life sends an email with information about the upcoming week’s worship services, education schedule and other upcoming church events. Sign up via email to anne@lolbaxter.org.

We have an Induction Loop Audio System, which allows hearing aid wearers to access the amplified audio via the “T” setting on a hearing aid.  To access this system, please sit in the green pews and confirm that your hearing aid is on the appropriate setting.

Baby Changing Areas – The bathrooms closest to the mailboxes have Baby Changing areas in both the men’s and women’s bathroom.

Are you wearing your Name Tag? It will be helpful for everyone to wear their nametag, so that we can familiarize ourselves with the other members of our Lord of Life family.

If you are new to our church or are a member who needs a new nametag, please mark your Connection Card. For new worshipers, your nametag(s) will be placed in an envelope in the clear plastic file boxes at the Welcome Center. Members will find their nametag(s) in their mailbox in the Narthex. If you have forgotten your mailbox number, a listing is at the west end of the mailboxes.

Emergency Exits – Please take a moment to locate where the emergency exits are. In the event of an emergency or fire alarm, please proceed quickly and calmly out the nearest emergency exit.

If you are unable to come forward to take communion, please speak to an usher and communion will be brought to you in your seat.

Family Weekly and hospital visits – Please call the church office at 218-828-9374 or send an email to colleen@lolbaxter.org if you or a loved one needs to be added to the prayers in Family Weekly or when changes need to be made. Also, if you or a loved one are hospitalized, please call or email the church office to let us know.

Check out the art in the Fellowship Hall! It’s currently displaying the 10th grade Confirmation projects.

Lord of Life has an AED: It is in the large white cabinet mounted on the wall behind the Welcome Center. A number of LOL members are trained to operate the AED.
