It’s Turkey Time – Bridges of Hope will provide the names of approximately 15 families who are in need of food baskets. Please consider donating canned vegetables, cranberries, boxes of stuffing, boxes or bags of potatoes (bagged potatoes only if close to the holiday to ensure they stay fresh), and jars or packets of gravy. Bring items to the Thanksgiving Drive Basket located in the Narthex, and/or donate funds toward the purchase of the turkeys and pumpkin pies. All donations must be at the church no later than Wednesday, November 20th.

When hospitalized – When St. Joseph’s Medical Center admits a patient, they ask what religious denomination the person belongs to – not the name of a specific church. If you say “Lutheran” we will not be notified. If hospitalized, please say you are from Lord of Life Lutheran so that a Pastor may visit.

Help us be good stewards – Did you know that your mailbox makes a great place to store a coffee mug? Here at Lord of Life we would like to reduce the use of disposable cups for coffee and other drinks. You are encouraged to consider bringing a mug and storing it in your mailbox during the week.

Do it all in the Name of Jesus – Stephen Ministers bring distinctively Christian care to those in need. They use both words and deeds to express Christ’s care for others – listening and comforting, calling on the training they have received and employing the tools of faith. If this job description fits your personal goals for ministry, consider becoming a Stephen Minister. A training class is starting soon. For more information, please contact Deb Bergstrom, (701)678-4053 or, or Lolly Kalinoski, (218)829-8207 or You can also check out the Stephen Ministry web page at
