Check out ISD181.org – click on community education and volunteering to fill out the volunteer form. Would you rather help at another school? When hospitalized – When St. Joseph’s Medical Center admits a patient, they ask what religious denomination the person belongs to – not the name of a specific church. If you say “Lutheran” we will not be notified. If hospitalized, please say you are from Lord of Life Lutheran so that a Pastor may visit.
Help us be good stewards – Did you know that your mailbox makes a great place to store a coffee mug? Here at Lord of Life we would like to reduce the use of disposable cups for coffee and other drinks. You are encouraged to consider bringing a mug and storing it in your mailbox during the week.
Do it all in the Name of Jesus – Stephen Ministers bring distinctively Christian care to those in need. They use both words and deeds to express Christ’s care for others – listening and comforting, calling on the training they have received and employing the tools of faith. If this job description fits your personal goals for ministry, consider becoming a Stephen Minister. A training class is starting soon. For more information, please contact Deb Bergstrom, (701)678-4053 or deb@lolbaxter.org, or Lolly Kalinoski, (218)829-8207 or lollykadlec@hotmail.com.
