Pray & Ponder Women’s Breakfast – will meet Saturday, February 1, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at LOL. Join us for great food, conversation, inspiration and prayer.

Coffee with Council – Join us for coffee with council on Sunday, February 2, in between services in Room 1. Stop by to visit with council members about your questions and concerns.

Fundraising Event for Tanzania – Join us Monday, February 3, for dinner at the Pizza Ranch from 5 pm to 8 pm. Our group will receive 10% of the evening sales and tips. We appreciate your support of our Tanzania mission trip, and all proceeds will go towards supplies needed for Tanzania.

Kids’ Time Leaders and Assistants – We are looking for Kids’ Time Lead Teachers and Assistants for our Sunday 9 am and Wednesday 6 pm services.  All lessons and activities are planned and prepped for you. Blood Drive at LOL – Lord of Life will be hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, February 7, from 12 pm to 5 pm. Sign up at redcrossblood.org.

Do you have a great chili recipe? Bring your chili on Wednesday, February 12, at 5:15 pm for our chili cook-off. It is a fun time of sampling chili and great fellowship. The winner will get their picture taken with the golden ladle.

Shoveling Sidewalks at LOL – We have some dates open yet for shoveling the sidewalks at LOL. We have an electric-start snowblower to help make the job easier. If you would like to help, mark your Connection Card, and we will send you more information and dates that are available.

Those Older Folders – Join our energetic group every Friday at 10:05 am to fold bulletins for the Sunday services.

Pancake Breakfast – Join us on February 2 from 9:45 am to 10:30 am for a pancake breakfast. This is a free-will donation, and money raised will go towards our youth mission trips this summer.

The Women’s Wednesday Morning Bible Study – will begin a new 12-week study on I and II Peter in the New Testament. February 5 through April 29 at 10:15 am in Room 1. Please join us! Contact Carol Rodseth, discussion leader at 218-825-3980 or Rodseth@charter.net.

Spring LIFEgroups – If you would like to be a part of a group and read and discuss a book, mark your Connection Cards. We will have more information soon on what we will be reading and discussing.

Evening Bible Study – Join us on Wednesday nights from 7 pm to 8 pm in Room 1. This study will feature a unique, visually based approach to the study of God’s Word. Through exploring the meaning associated with visual diagrams, participants will come to know the content of the study.

NE Minnesota Synod Men’s Retreat – February 21 and 22 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brainerd. Featured speakers will be Rev. Dr. Mark Skinner on Friday night and Rev. Dr. Andy Root on Saturday afternoon. More information and registration forms can be found at the Welcome Center in the Narthex. $40 for both days, $30 for first time attendees, $20 if just attending Saturday, and $15 for just attending Saturday afternoon.

Volunteers Needed! We are looking for volunteers to help with cleaning up the pews after our Sunday and Wednesday services. This would include picking up bulletins left behind, straightening Bibles, making sure hand sanitizers are filled and checking the busy bags. Times and days of doing this are flexible. New Member Orientation 101 – If you are looking for a church home, Lord of Life offers a New Member Orientation 101 class. These classes are for those interested in membership at Lord of Life and those seeking more information on Lord of Life’s mission and ministries. This is a one-night event, and attendance is required by all who wish to become members of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. New Member 201 Class – is available for those seeking more information about the Lutheran church. If you have been confirmed in the Lutheran Church and will be transferring your membership from an ELCA Lutheran Congregation, it is not necessary you attend these classes; however, you are highly encouraged to do so.
