Spring LIFEgroups – will launch the week of February 23 and wrap up before Easter. As a way to further dig into our Lenten theme of STRIPES: Towards Healing, we’ll be reading Anne Lamott’s book Hallelujah Anyway: Rediscovering Mercy. Anne is a funny, honest, deep writer and thinker who does not shy away from difficult questions and less than savory experiences and boldly wrestles with God’s place, purpose and plan in and through it all. Pick up a copy of the book and get a group together you can also email the church office at and we will let you know what groups are available.

Sponsoring New Members – We need members who will be willing to support those who are seeking to become members. If you are interested mark your Connection Cards.

Welcoming Team Member – We are searching for a small group of people to form the nucleus of a congregation-wide “Welcoming Team” who would work together in a coordinated fashion to be on the lookout for those who are new to our community in our midst. Mark your Connection Cards if you would like to be a part of this group.

Definition of Self Control: to exercise directing influence, power, and authority over conditions. Humans like to be in control, having the power to choose exactly what is going to happen and when. Unfortunately, life isn’t liked that – we only think we’re in control. So when something troublesome happens and we realize we are not in control, we may feel lost, overwhelmed, angry, even terrified. Stephen Ministers are trained to help when life feels out of control. They provide support and encouragement while helping a person put faith and trust in God. If you would like to know more about Stephen Ministry, please contact: Deb Bergstrom – (701)678-4053 or Lolly Kalinoski – (218)
