ways to Give
Online Giving
Cash or Check Donations
If you would like to give to Lord of Life via Cash or Check, you may drop cash off during the week or place it in the offering baskets on Sundays and/or Wednesdays.

For all checks meant for the Capital Campaign or another restricted fund, please write the fund name in the memo line of the check. To request remittable offering envelopes, contact the church office or mark the “Please send envelopes” option on the pew envelopes in the Sanctuary.
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Individuals age 70.5 or older can distribute otherwise taxable IRA amounts up to $100,000 per year directly to Lord of Life. The money given to Lord of Life using a QCD counts toward the donor’s required minimum distribution (RMD) but doesn’t increase the donor’s adjusted gross income or generate a tax bill. Because charitable contributions may not yield a tax benefit for those taxpayers who no longer itemize their deductions, those who are age 70.5 or older and are receiving RMDs from IRAs may save taxes by making annual charitable contributions by way of a QCD from and IRA. Contact your financial advisor or tax advisor for more details.
Appreciated Securities
You can donate appreciated securities – stock, mutual funds, bonds, ADRs (American Depository Receipts), and other ‘property’ – and often receive a greater tax benefit than you would receive as compared to selling the appreciated securities and then donating cash. Donations of appreciated securities are recorded as a charitable gift at the appreciated amount. Also, by donating appreciated securities you can avoid recording a capital gain in the security (assuming the investment has appreciated and that you have held the asset for more than one year). You should check with a tax professional before initiating any transfer of securities. If you would like to donate securities, you can initiate the transfer through your broker and request that the securities be transferred to:

For gifts of securities, please note that it may take four to five business days from the time your broker initiates a stock transfer to Lord of Life until the settlement date when the proceeds are credited to Lord of Life’s account and recognized as a gift.
Thrivent Choice
Thrivent Financial provides several ways to bless Lord of Life with a financial contribution. You can make a one-time online personal donation, and Thrivent pays the processing fees. Thrivent members can designate their Choice Dollars to Lord of Life and/or apply for an Action Team grant, which provides $250 in seed money for a fundraiser, educational event or service activity.
