Welcome and Announcements
Thank you all for joining us this evening for worship as we continue our journey through Lent. We just have a couple housekeeping items to go over.
There will be a Zoom meeting this Sunday (February 28) to discuss summer activities for our high school members at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. Please contact Tim Slinger if you would like more information.
As you saw on the first slide of our service, we are collecting pictures from people who are making an image representing their faith through nails we collected from members of our Congregation. If you would like a kit, please contact Tyler at the Church Office who will set you up with one.

Bless now, O God, the journey ELW 326
Prayer
Gracious Creator, you fashioned us in your image in the midst of a world beyond our knowledge and understanding. Continue to weave us together in community with all created things, and deepen our awareness of the ways you connect us to the earth. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
The Wind Ran Out of Breath (Repeated Twice)
35–38Late that day he said to them, “Let’s go across to the other side.” They took him in the boat as he was. Other boats came along. A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it. And Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, sleeping! They roused him, saying, “Teacher, is it nothing to you that we’re going down?”
39–40Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, “Quiet! Settle down!” The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass. Jesus reprimanded the disciples: “Why are you such cowards? Don’t you have any faith at all?”
41They were in absolute awe, staggered. “Who is this, anyway?” they asked. “Wind and sea at his beck and call!”
