Greetings, Lord of Life,

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Steve Jones for attending our council meeting and offering valuable insights on energy cost savings for the church. Thanks to the efforts of the Property Team and Council Member Matt Delaney, many of the church lights have been updated to more energy-efficient versions. Additionally, Steve has taken the lead in evaluating new energy rates that will save the church thousands of dollars over the course of the year. We are incredibly grateful to Steve, Matt, and everyone who has contributed to this important mission.

Capital Campaign Update
The Capital Campaign is in full swing, and the excitement and energy surrounding it have been amazing. Thank you to everyone who has submitted their intent-to-give cards—your commitment is greatly appreciated! The capital campaign will help us pay off our mortgage, freeing up monthly payments that can be redirected to other church missions and resources. This will open new possibilities for the future of our church.

Pastoral Transition and Future Leadership
As we focus on our capital campaign, it’s equally important to turn our attention to our pastoral transition and the future leadership of Lord of Life. The council and staff are exploring resources and gathering feedback to better understand members’ thoughts about our past and future, as well as what is most important to each of you.

News and Notes

  • Rummage Sale: The council is discussing the formation of a committee to organize the Rummage Sale. We look forward to hosting another rummage sale this spring, but additional help and structure will be important to ensure its success. More details will be shared soon.
  • Columbarium: The columbarium is expected to arrive at the church this spring. A huge thank you to the Columbarium Team for your dedication and hard work in making this happen!
  • Outdoor Benches: Council Member Landen Stoen presented his plan to build six benches for the fire pit area as part of his Eagle Scout project. We thank Landen for his thoughtfulness and his contribution to enhancing our church grounds.
  • Volunteers: We are truly blessed by everyone who volunteers at Lord of Life. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and you play a vital role in our church community. We are always in need of your gifts and talents—whether it’s assisting with the rummage sale, helping with kids’ time, or contributing in countless other ways. We would love to hear from you!

Moving Forward Together
As we move forward together, we are in a season of change and new opportunities to shape the future of Lord of Life. These transitions take time, and we are committed to progressing thoughtfully and in unity. We deeply appreciate your ongoing commitment to our church family and all that you do.

Blessings,
Andy Isackson and the Lord of Life Council
