Christ. Grace. Family.

Welcome to Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. As you can see, ours is a congregation that enjoys both working and playing together while celebrating our love of the Lord. All are welcome at Lord of Life. Aside from the time we spend worshiping together during service we also offer a variety of other opportunities for both youth and adults.

“It’s Good to be Family.”

Our Church

Lord of Life began as a small charter congregation worshiping in the cafeteria of the local elementary school. One hundred and twenty-five people were in attendance at the first service April 22, 1990.  Later that fall the congregation outgrew the cafeteria, moved their services to the gymnasium, and began a Sunday school program.

Our Family

Today the congregation at Lord of Life is 1300 members strong and worship, during three weekly services, is held in a new 400 seat sanctuary, completed in 2008. We offer activities for children, youth, adults and families. We invite you to join us, and become part of our church family!

In Memory of Orv Hanson
June 18, 2017

Recently the coffee countertop and sink in the Commons was replaced.  The old cracked sink was replaced and the countertop was redesigned so that spills on the counter will not drip down and destroy the finish on the face of the cabinets.

Funding for this work was received largely from memorial gifts given in memory of Orv Hanson.  A small amount of additional funds was taken out of the long-term improvement fund.

We are grateful to the family and friends of Orv Hanson who have given this wonderful gift to the church.
