Parent’s Night Out – There is still time to sign-up for Parent’s Night Out Saturday, July 13, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm! All ages welcome. We will have fun activities and crafts for your kids; we will also feed them supper. Free-will donation to raise money for the upcoming Mission trip in July. Register by July 10 at

serveCAMP – This is a Middle School Mission “trip” for students who will be entering grades 5-8 in the upcoming school year. There will be activities during the day, a break in the afternoon, and an option to return in the evening. Dates are July 21-25. Starts Sunday at 7 pm for a camp-style worship service. Monday-Thursday 9 am to 3 pm, optional 7 pm to 10 pm and/or overnight. Cost is $125. Sign-up at

Roar! Into the Wild VBS – August 11-14 from 6 pm -8 pm for ages 3 to 4th grade. Join the herd on an epic adventure as we explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that encourages us through this wild life! Cost is $20 a child and a family max of $30. ServeCAMP Volunteers Needed – We are looking for volunteers to help the week of July 21-25. We are also in need of drivers to transport kids to service sites. If you can help with one of these needs, please mark your Connection Card.

ROAR Evening VBS Volunteers– We are in need of Volunteers to help with VBS August 11-14. We need help with: decorating, VBS prep and cutting. We are also in need of group leaders (great for 6th graders through 12 graders and adults) to have a group of kids and take them through each of the stations. Please check the box on your Connection Card if you can help in anyway.

Campfire Worship – Join us Wednesday, July 17, at 6 pm for our Campfire Worship Service. Bring a dish to pass for our potluck supper; hotdogs are provided.

Take control of your money with Financial Peace University (FPU)! This nine-lesson course helps you tackle budgeting, pay off debt, and make your money work for you! Classes start on September 10, 2019 at 6pm and meet for nine consecutive Tuesdays. Cost is $109 for singles or couples. Parent’s Night Out Volunteers Needed – We need you! Looking for youth and adult volunteers to help with Parents Night Out on Saturday, July 13th from 4:30 pm-8:30 pm. Volunteers will help entertain kids with pre-planned games, crafts, dinner, and a movie. Proceeds raised goes towards the upcoming Youth Mission Trip. Mark your Connections Cards if you would like to help.

Friends of New Pathways – is an informal group of supporters among the members of Lord of Life. There are no regularly scheduled meetings for this group, but the group may gather from time to time to discuss special projects that can help support New Pathways.

God’s Work. Our Hands – Mark your Connection Cards if you would like to be a part of God’s Work. Our Hands on Sunday, August 25, at 10 am. If you would like a t-shirt for that day, order shirts at The cost for shirts are between $8-$18 depending on size and style. The deadline for ordering a t-shirt is July 28.  

Golf Outing and Fundraiser – Come support the ministries of Camp Onomia by helping to send a kid to camp. Golf outing and fundraiser for Camp Onomia Campership fund will be Monday, July 29 at the Stones Throw Golf Course in Milaca. This event starts at 2 pm and is $75 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, fun and prizes. Registration forms are at the Welcome Center in the Narthex or by signing up at

Would you like to grow your faith and leadership? NE MN Synod Lay Leader Network Series is specifically designed for lay leaders within our congregation. Sessions will focus on: Biblical/Lutheran theological framework, leadership and spiritual development, all set within engaging current missional context. There will be four sessions: September 7, 2019, November 16, 2019, February 15, 2020, and May 16, 2020. These sessions run from 9 am to 4 pm and will be held at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Sessions are led by Dave Messner, Jim Bailey and Mark Skinner.
