serveCAMP – For students who will be entering grades 5-8 in the upcoming school year. There will be activities during the day, a break in the afternoon, and an option to return in the evening. Dates are July 21-25. Starts Sunday at 7 pm for a camp-style worship service. Monday-Thursday 9 am to 3 pm, optional 7 pm to 10 pm and/or overnight. Cost is $125. Roar! Into the Wild VBS – August 11-14 from 6 pm -8 pm for ages 3 to 4th grade. Join the herd on an epic adventure as we explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that encourages us through this wild life! Cost is $20 a child and a family max of $30. ROAR Evening VBS Volunteers– We are in need of Volunteers to help with VBS August 11-14. We need help with: decorating, VBS prep and cutting. We are also in need of group leaders (great for 6th graders through 12 graders and adults) to have a group of kids and take them through each of the stations. Spiritual Gifts Class – Mark your calendars and join us for a Spiritual Gifts Class starting September 26. This is an eight week class and will be taught on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 pm at LOL. We will NOT meet for class on Thursday, October 31. Classes will be taught on October 3, 10, 17, 24, November 7, 14, and 21. We need a minimum of 10 people for this class, and no more than 20.
Friends of New Pathways – is an informal group of supporters among the members of Lord of Life. There are no regularly scheduled meetings for this group, but the group may gather from time to time to discuss special projects that can help support New Pathways. New Pathways partners with area churches so families with children have a safe place to stay at night. During the day, the families go to work, school, or to the New Pathways Family Day Centers, where they work on their plan to get back into a home of their own. Would you like to grow your faith and leadership? NE MN Synod Lay Leader Network Series is specifically designed for lay leaders within our congregation which might include; council members, youth leaders, team leaders, etc. Sessions will focus on: Biblical/Lutheran theological framework, leadership and spiritual development, all set within engaging current missional context. There will be four sessions: September 7, 2019, November 16, 2019, February 15, 2020, and May 16, 2020. These sessions run from 9 am to 4 pm and will be held at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Sessions are led by Dave Messner, Jim Bailey and Mark Skinner.
