This Week’s Announcements

Wednesday Suppers During Lent – Join us at 5:15 pm for a soup supper and worship at 6 pm on April 3 & 10. No Supper or worship on April 17 of Holy Week.

Prayer Chain In-service – Our next in-service will be Wednesday, April 3 at 7 pm or Sunday, April 7 at 10:15 am. We require a commitment of each member to attend at least one prayer chain in-service during a 12-month period.

Pancake Breakfast – Join us for a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 7, at 9:45 am. This a free will donation and fundraiser for the youth going on the mission trip this summer.

WELCA Women’s Heartland Conference – will be at Bethesda Lutheran in Malmo on Thursday, April 11 from 8 am to 12 pm. Cost is $8. If you would like to go and need a ride call Brenda Johnson at 831-9725.

Pray & Ponder Women’s Breakfast – will meet Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at LOL, join us for great food, conversation, inspiration and prayer. If you have any questions contact Wendy Adamson at wendyadamson@ymail.com.

Wednesday Soup Lunch and Study – Join us Wednesdays during Lent for a soup and bread lunch and a time of Worship starting at 12 pm. This will run through Wednesday, April 17.

Holy Week – Maundy Thursday: April 18; 12 pm & 7 pm; Good Friday: April 19; 12 pm & 7 pm. No Wednesday Service or supper this week.

Easter Breakfast – Join us for Easter Breakfast after the 7 am Worship Service on Easter Sunday, April 21. 

Easter Services: 7 am, 9 am and 10:30 am.

Time to Clean Your Closets – Lord of Life is having its annual Rummage and Bake Sale on May 10th and 11th and we would love for you to donate items to our sale. Kids and junior clothing are welcome. No televisions, computers, or adult clothing. Sign-up in the Narthex to help at the Rummage Sale.

Stephen Ministry – This coming week the Stephen Ministry training class at Lord of Life will be considering the subject of Assertiveness: Relating Gently and Firmly, Part 2. Last week Part 1 was presented. These two presentations involve finding out the differences between passive, assertive, and aggressive behavior, and gaining skills that will help both in relating with others and affirming their own worth. We thank God for the ongoing dedication of our Stephen Minister trainees and ask your continued prayers for them and for God’s blessings upon their ministries.

The Legacy Chorale – will be performing at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd on Sunday, April 14 at 3:30 pm. Free-will donations accepted. More information at admin@legacychorale.org.

Spring Clothing Share – Friday, May 17 – 9 am to 3 pm & Saturday, May 18 – 9 am-12 pm. This event is open to the public and all items of clothing are free.

    • Donations of all gently worn adult and children’s clothing will be Monday-Wednesday, May 13-15, from 9 am – 3 pm. 
    • We are also in need of hangers and hanging clothing racks (you will get back). Volunteers are needed during the week for folding or hanging items and during the Giveaway. Look for volunteer sign-ups soon.

Northeast MN Synod Assembly Quilt Auction – The LOL Quilters put the beautiful quilt together in the Narthex. Bid on the quilt before it goes to to the Synod Assembly Auction.

Librarian – Would you like to help with our church library? We are looking for someone to help with putting donated books away and to organize the bookshelves. Mark your Connection Cards if you would like to learn more.

Prayer Vigil Group – This group will plan and carry out the Easter Vigil. This group may also organize other congregational or community-wide prayer vigils in times that are traumatic to a large portion of our community. (In time of national tragedy, for example.) Mark your Connection Cards if you would like to be a part of this group.
